A CHAPTER OF HISTORY WORTH TELLING!
THE ROSLYN PIONEER MOVIE
The story of Black pioneers who journeyed to Washington's coal country in 1888, and the legacy they left behind.
The Story.
Their Journey. Their Struggle. Their Legacy.
In 1888, Black miners and their families traveled to Roslyn, Washington, amid a bitter coal miners' strike. What began as a journey for opportunity became a remarkable chapter of Black history in the Pacific Northwest.
The Roslyn Pioneer Movie combines historical interviews and dramatic reenactments to tell the story of the people who helped shape this community.
